Wings of Cataleya is a photo blog that takes readers beyond everyday travels via one backpacker’s random thoughts and camera lenses. The blog’s name is inspired by the natural beauty of Colombia, its national flower “orchid Cattleya trianae,” and the protagonist of the movie Colombiana. Visual experiences are scattered across many places that the blogger has traveled, not just Colombia, though.

The blogger currently works in education. His previous work was in journalism, publishing, and technology. Travel photography has always been his strong calling. Wings of Cataleya aims to blend photojournalism and a backpacker’s experiences into one realistic and no-nonsense digital mix.
